TELORAMA defined.

Telorama was the word chosen to describe television, by the American scientist Dr. D. McFarlan Moore. It appears to be a contraction of the words Television and Drama.

Dr, Moore developed and patented the neon gas lamp still used today for lighted advertising signs. He also invented the crater arc lamps used with lens disks, for mechanical television. He was also renowned for having built all of the first vacuum tubes used and sold by DeForest.
